Senior Supervisor Training (S2, S3 & G2)
Our Senior Supervisor course has been specifically designed for participants working in the Resource Industry who are required to implement the risk management systems within an established system for a mine site, including the application of local hazard identification, formal risk assessment and implementation of risk controls. The S2, S3 and G2 consist of units of competency from the qualification, RII30109 Cert III in Surface Extraction Operations.
RIIWHS301E – Conduct safety and health investigations (Formerly S2)
This Unit Covers Conducting Safety And Health Investigations In Resources And Infrastructure Industries. It Includes: Determining The Investigation Objectives; Gathering Information; Evaluating Information; Identifying Courses Of Action; And Preparing And Presenting Investigation Reports.
RIICOM301E – Communicate information (Formerly S3)
This Unit Covers The Communication Of Information In Resources And Infrastructure Industries. It Includes: Communicating Information Orally And In Writing; Achieving Meeting Outcomes; Making Presentations, And Participating In Negotiations.
RIIRIS402E – Carry out the risk management process (Formerly G2)
This Unit Covers The Skills And Knowledge Required To Implement And Apply Risk Management Processes Within An Established System For A Mine Site/area, Including The Application Of Local Hazard Identification, Formal Risk Assessment And Implementation Of Risk Controls. It Includes The Monitoring Of The System, Reporting On Implementation Issues, Communication Of Processes And Systems, And The Review And Auditing Of The Risk Management Processes And Systems.
Content Delivery
Both the theory and assessment are delivered online external self-paced.
There is a requirement for the development of a portfolio of evidence which can be created from current or previous workplace documents. If you do not have access to these you will be required to create them.
A scenario is to be finalised in the workplace and signed off by a qualified supervisor. If you do not have one please make our team aware prior to enrolling to ensure you are able to complete your course.
