Design and Install Grid Connected Photovoltaic Systems

Course Description

The grid-connect skill set offered by Volt Edge has been designed for licensed electricians (or those holding the pre-requisite units) who want to obtain accreditation from the Clean Energy Council (CEC).
This will enable them to access incentives offered by the Federal Government for solar panel installations.

The course on offer meets the requirements of the regulating body, the Clean Energy Council, for accreditation.

Delivery Modes

Brisbane – Delivered 4 days over Live Web Zoom on the 5th day you will attend Northgate for your practical.

Melbourne – Delivered over 4 days completely face to face.

WA, SA, NSW, NT, TAS – If you are unable to attend either of these locations you can attend training 4 days over Live Web (from the comfort of your home) and complete your install remotely or via RPL.

Practical component – As a student enrolled into the Solar Grid Connect Course you are required to complete practical components of installing Photovoltaic systems.

To achieve this requirement, you need to select one of the following options:

  1. Attending a Volt Edge Training Facility to complete the practical (two installs).
  2. Complete onsite (at your workplace) installs observed and confirmed by a CEC Accredited Installer.
  3. Completed previous installs onsite (at your workplace) being observed and confirmed by a CEC Accredited Installer.  This option will require you to submit evidence of previous installs (instructions provided), which must be confirmed and declared (Stat Dec) by an CEC Accredited Installer.

Live Web requirements are:

  • Computer or laptop
  • Steady internet connection
  • Speaker
  • Microphone
  • Webcam
  • Microsoft Word
  • Use 2 monitors when attending live web courses. 2 monitors are recommended to ensure your access and view to the course material is streamlined, and your interaction throughout the course is optimal
