Volt Edge has developed a Nationally Recognised Hazardous Areas Inspectors course, which is a course designed to allow a Hazardous Area Electrician to: · Be authorised at a particular site as an Inspector. · Used as technical back up for the QLD Hazardous Areas Auditors application and/or; · Used as technical back up for the Victorian H class inspectors course and application. The course can be completed by Engineers or Electricians with a background in Hazardous Areas to be able to inspect other tradesmen’s hazardous area work to Australian Standards.
Inspectors course is delivered face to face trainer led workshop over 5 days.
Pre-requisites apply: Code Title UEENEEM054A Plan electrical installations for hazardous areas – gas atmospheres Pre-requisites: UEENEEM024A OR Competencies in planning general electrical/instrumentation installations at AQF4 or equivalent. Examples are (but not limited to): UEENEEG125A or UEENEEI112A UEENEEM056A Plan electrical installations for hazardous areas – pressurisation Pre-requisites: UEENEEM026A OR Competencies in planning general electrical/instrumentation installations at AQF4 or equivalent. Examples are (but not limited to): UEENEEG125A or UEENEEI112A UEENEEM057A Design explosion-protected electrical systems and installations – gas atmospheres Pre-requisites: Granting competency in this unit shall be made after confirming competency in designing electrical systems and installations at AQF level 6 or equivalent. Examples are (but not limited to): UEENEEE115A, UEENEEG130A, UEENEEI123A UEENEEM059A Design explosion-protected electrical systems and installations – pressurisation Pre-requisites: Granting competency in this unit shall be made after confirming competency in designing electrical systems and installations at AQF level 6 or equivalent. Examples are (but not limited to): UEENEEE015B, UEENEEG130A, UEENEEI123A UEENEEM065A Conduct audit of hazardous areas installations – gas atmospheres Pre-requisites: Granting competency in this unit shall be made after or concurrently with confirming competency in engineering auditing/evaluation AQF 5 or equivalent.
