Course Description:

Overview: Our Low Voltage Rescue (LVR) and Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course provides participants with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to respond to electrical incidents in the workplace. It focuses on safe approach procedures, rescue techniques, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation in accordance with current industry standards and guidelines.
This training supports individuals working in electrical environments to manage emergency situations effectively while prioritising personal and site safety.
Course Content:
Participants will undertake both theoretical and practical training covering:
Safe Approach Procedures
- Identifying electrical hazards
- Applying safe approach distances
- Using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Following workplace safety protocols
Low Voltage Rescue (LVR)
- Assessing emergency situations involving live low voltage panels
- Isolating electrical supply where possible
- Using approved rescue equipment
- Conducting safe rescue techniques
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Performing CPR in line with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines
- Delivering chest compressions and rescue breaths
- Responding to unconscious and non-breathing casualties
- Basic use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)
Who Should Attend:
This course is intended for individuals who hold, or are working towards, an unrestricted electrical licence or are required to perform low voltage rescue and CPR as part of their workplace role.
Participants must have the physical capacity to perform CPR on the floor.
Assessment Requirements:
Assessment includes both theoretical and practical components. Participants will be required to demonstrate competency in simulated rescue and CPR scenarios.
Certification/Outcome:
Upon successful completion, participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for the following nationally recognised units:
- UETDRMP007 Perform Rescue from a Live Low Voltage Panel
- HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Delivery:
- Theory Component: Completed online in a self-paced format prior to the practical session
- Practical Training & Assessment:
Conducted face-to-face at our Northgate Brisbane Training Centre - Duration: Approximately half (½) day for the practical session
