Our course offers students exposure to the fundamentals of process plant operations. You will learn to use and operate production equipment to directly produce particular materials and substances.

It is typically used to prepare new employees or develop existing workers performing an operational role in the following chemical, hydrocarbons or refining sectors.

The PMA20116 Certificate II in Process Plant Operations, as provided by Volt Edge, is a technical qualification for operators in the hydrocarbons, petrochemical, chemical, metal/ore processing and related process manufacturing industry sectors.

It is intended to prepare workers who operate production equipment or undertake similar roles directly producing products. The operator would apply a breadth and depth of knowledge to a defined range of situations and would be expected to apply this knowledge to solve a defined range of problems by applying known solutions to a limited range of predictable problems.

Course Delivery

The theory component of this course is completed online self paced only, upon completion you will be required to undertake a practical component available either face-to-face in our Northgate Brisbane Training Centre (in simulated environment) or for students employed in industry may complete this on the job.

To gain a qualification students will need to complete 5 core units and 11 elective units (see below for units).
