Learners & Clients Course learners have undertaken the HV Switching course previously and are required by industry to refresh the units of competency and knowledge to remain working with Switchgear in Industrial facilities and networks. Some learners may be employed or looking for work with an employer. Student who do not hold an electrical licence or meet the pre-requisites of the course will gain the UEPOPS units only. How the course is delivered – HV Switching Refresher ☒ Face to Face The units will be delivered across 2 days face to face workshop and has approximately 75% Theory and 25% Practical. 4 Units from UEP Training Package and 5 Units from UET Training Package Delivered in a 3 day holistic theory and assessment block, training consists of: • Legislation • Site Procedures • HV Equipment • HV Switching • HV Access The competency skill set has been adopted as an industry standard. Outcome gained by students upon successful completion will be either a CT (Credit Transfer) or RPL (Recognition of prior learning) depending on previous study. If a student holds the exact unit they will receive a Credit Transfer if not an RPL will be gained. As industry require a Statement of Attainment be issued on a refresher this is the process for our administration process to issue. Amount of Training/Volume of Learning The Amount of Training/Volume of Learning for this program will comprise of: · 18 hours of Supervised instruction/assessment including: o 15 hours of supervised theory instruction and discussions o 3 hours of supervised assessment activities (Written and Practical) Total of approx. 18 Hrs
