Hazardous Areas Inspectors
Course Description
Volt Edge is delivering a Nationally Recognised Inspectors course, which is a course designed to allow a Hazardous Area Electrician to:
→ Be authorised at a particular site as an Inspector.
→ Used as technical back up for the QLD Hazardous Areas Auditors application.
OR
→ Used at technical back up for the Victorian H class inspectors course and application.
Content Delivery
This is a 5 day Live Web course with a mix of practical and theory. The person, when deemed competent, should be able to inspect previous completed a detailed inspection of a hazardous area installation and then create an auditable document list of non compliances and which clause in the Australian Standards that is required.
You will require a computer/laptop, good internet connection, speakers, web camera.
Outcomes
After successful completion of this course, students will have the skills to:
→ Verify hazardous classification for the area.
→ Select and check equipment, wiring and accessories.
→ Design system and installation.
→ Audit hazardous areas documentation (verification dossier).
→ Prepare to audit as-built installation.
→ Establish and implement procedures for maintaining explosion-protection.

You can provide this evidence by supplying us with a copy of your USI transcript. A copy of an EEHA , Cert IV in Hazardous Areas and Cert III in Electrotechnology may assist you in meeting these pre-requisites.
