This Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas course covers the principles of hazardous area installation, maintenance, inspections, and breakdowns of explosion-protection equipment with a high emphasis of practical inspections. Our Hazardous Area Training course has been designed with a new starter in mind but with enough technical knowledge to stimulate the most educated student. Theory: Live Web – Trainer led session
Practical: Face to face available in Brisbane, Mackay, Sydney, Newcastle, & Melbourne. 1 day F2F practical required.
Delivered in a 5 day holistic theory and assessment block
The Volume of Learning for this program will comprise of:
→ 40 hours of workbook reading (Not mandatory).
→ 45 hours of supervised instruction including:
→ 30 hours of supervised theory instruction and discussions.
Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a Statement of Attainment listing the competencies listed.
You will gain the skills to:
→ Take actions to limit risk of an explosion.
→ Prepare to attend breakdown.
→ Install the equipment and wiring systems.
→ Complete maintenance work inspections and documentation.
→ Conduct testing.
→ Select and check equipment, wiring and accessories.
