Conformity Assessment Document (CAD)

Course Description

This Volt Edge course covers assessing the Certification documentation of explosion-protected equipment with a certificate of conformity other than an IECEx, ANZEx or AUS Ex Certificate, and producing a conformity assessment document. Our course encompasses skills and knowledge to examine and compare document content, compare requirements of IEC or AS/NZS Standards with alternative Standards on which the original certification was based, knowledge of explosion-protection techniques and technical report writing.

Course Content

This course and workbook covers the following topics:
→ Introduction to Hazardous Areas.
→ Legislative requirements for Hazardous Areas.
→ Role of standards in hazardous area compliance.
→ Basic of hazardous area classification.
→ Basics of hazardous area protections techniques.
→ Requirements for equipment testing and certification.
→ Foreign certification schemes.
→ Requirement for conducting a conformity assessment as required by AS/NZS 60079.14
